About us
National Council of Jewish Women of Canada, Toronto Section is a non-profit, volunteer service organization of over 800 women, dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals.
Our organization that has proudly created:
- Jewish Big Sisters, in 1918
- Jewish Camp Council, in 1944
- Golden Age Drop-in Centre, in 1950
- Creative Living now Bernard Betel Centre, in 1963
- Kosher Meals on Wheels, in 1965
- Junior kindergarten under the auspices of the Board of Education for the Borough of North York, in 1965
- Block Parents, in 1968
- Passover Food Drive, in 1982
- Kids On The Block puppet program, in 1984
- Bathurst / Prince Charles Integrated Housing Project, in 1986
- Jewish Genetic Diseases Awareness and Screening Project (JGAT)
