The Reaching Up Homework Club

The Reaching Up Homework Club opened on April 7, 2008 with a mission to help the children in the Jane and Finch community excel in their school work and to eventually break the vicious cycle of poverty and violence. This goal is to help build a community that is vibrant and life giving by using education as a tool to repaint the atmosphere of a community which is daunted by violence and crime. The homework club is open five days a week, 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm. NCJWC-TS helps find volunteers for the program and funds a nutritious after school snack.
